Numerous benefits of drinking more water

Water is essential for life. 70% of the planet is water, but only 2% is fresh water suitable for drinking.
According to Dr. F. Batmaghelidj's, author of "Water Cure" we are not what we eat, we are what we drink. 75% of our muscles are water, the brain is 76% water, the lungs are 90% water and even bones are 25% water.


The quality and quantity of our drinking water is essential to our health. The theory of Dr. Batmaghelidj's claims that unconscious chronic dehydration is the cause of acute inflammation and origin of numerous diseases which can be prevented and even cured by increasing water consumption. The doctor says that water can successfully fight more than 20 diseases, including recurrent and chronic ulcers and gastritis. In fact he claims to have cured more than 3,000 prisoners in jail in Iran suffering from ulcers and gastritis caused by overcrowding and stress of captivity.

Water plays a dual role in bodily health, on the one hand brings valuable nutrients to the last cell in the body and by the other hand back drag harmful to health free radicals.


Water has also proved useful in weight reduction programs and this is confirmed by a recent study conducted among 18,300 people in the United States.

The result showed that people who increased only 1 percent of water consumption decreased their total daily caloric intake, also reduced sodium intake and saturated fats.

The people studied only increased consumption of one to three cups of water each day and reduced from 68 to 235 calories a day. This was announced by Dr, Ruopeng of University of Ilinois. 
The study was published in the Journal of Human Nutrition and Dietetics, also it revealed that study participants drank about 4.2 cups of water a day and cut an average 2,157 calories.


Doctors generally recommend drinking 1½ to two liters of water daily and other benefits: water reduces hunger and helps you lose weight.

Improves physical activity to suppress or reduce dehydration responsible for weakening the ability to exercise.

Dehydration causes weakness, fatigue, exhaustion; but these conditions can be reversed by drinking more water. Water increases energy. 
Fiber together with water can eliminate constipation and solves heartburn. Proper digestion is essential for a good level of health.


A young, healthy skin is synonymous to a hydrated and smooth skin. Water is elemental to look radiant. Also drink enough water can reduce colon cancer risk by 45% and bladder cancer by up to 50%.
