Eating more fruits and vegetables and staying hydrated can be useful, especially in obese people to control their weight.
Globally population studies suggest that drinking water may be related to obesity. The study results showed that the most dehydrated people are more likely to be obese and have a higher body mass index (BMI)

A national sample of 9,528 adults between 18 and 64 years were involved in the study of which around 3,200, ie one third, were inadequately hydrated. The research findings were published in the journal Annals of Family Medicine Journal

Drinking water for weight control

But this is just the latest study of the relationship between water and weight control. There are numerous previous studies that confirm the findings of the study at the University of Michigan. It has already been found that water consumption causes increased resting energy expenditure, ie burns calories while resting. Increases 24.30% of resting energy expenditure within 10 minutes of consuming water and this effect can last about 60 minutes. And obese children resting energy expenditure is around 25%

.
A study in women found that increasing a liter of water a day in twelve months was a weight loss of 4.4 pounds without absolutely make any changes in their habits or diets. The only change that made these women was drink more water.
In a different study men overweight that were watered from 1 to 1.5 liters of cold water for several weeks, they showed a significant reduction in weight, the body mass index (BMI), the body fat and waist circumference.

Does drinking water before meals reduces weight?

It is common practice among models and other people drink water before meals to reduce appetite and help weight control.

Some studies have shown that this practice can be beneficial in middle-aged and adults but not in young. People who consumed water before each meal lost about 2 kilograms in twelve weeks. Those who drank water before meals lost 44% more weight in relation to people who do not drink water before meals. Drink water before meals to elderly or middle age can help suppress appetite and consequently to eat fewer calories.
An experiment was conducted in 17 schools, and the children were encouraged to drink more water from sources installed for that purpose. The experiment lasted a year and the result was surprising, the risk of obesity was reduced by 31% among students of 2nd and 3rd degree
