"An apple a day keeps the doctor away" refers to an English saying. It seems that thisfruit is native to the Southwest Asian countries, including Israel. Large diffusers apple in Europe was the Romans who planted apple seeds in each territory they conquered, including England.

The apple is an excellent fruit for health, good for digestion, it is full of vitamins and minerals and it is not surprising that is name it as "queen of fruits".

Healthy properties of the Apple

This delicious fruit contains very little cholesterol, sodium and fat and various studies show that may be useful in the following cases

As it noted a study for 28 years involved more than 9,000 men who ate apples daily reduced their cardiovascular risk.

Apple reduces 5 types of cancer, study says

Reduce the risk of up to 5 types of cancer eating apples, it is the result of a recent study by the University of Perugia. The researchers found that people who ate an apple a day had a lower risk of tumors of the mouth, intestines, lung, breast and digestive tract than those who rarely or never ate apples

The latest study from the University of Perugia and review of about 40 studies previously revealed that the greatest benefits were found in the prevention of esophageal and stomach cancers, where the risk of cancer was reduced by almost half.

The cases of breast cancer were reduced to one-fifth and the lung by 25%.

It seems that these beneficial obtained is by for the high levels of flavonoids found in apples believed to be protective against heart disease and Cancers.

The scientists concluded that studies demonstrated the protective capacity of the apples in cases of breast cancer, lung, intestine, mouth and digestive tract. They noted however further studies are needed to validate completely the findings of their study which was published in the journal “Public Health”.

The apple is one of the most consumed fruits in the world and could be healthy even eat an apple every day.
